Caitlyn talks about Grandma a lot, seemed really excited to be going to Grandma's(by my interpretation of her sounds), but it took her over an hour to warm up. For the first little bit she just carried her blanket around, thumb in mouth, and kept coming to check on where I was. She would play by William just fine and then it would be off to make sure that Mommy is still here. She did think that it was great when Grandma started tickling her neck and wanted her to do it again and again. She did warm up to Mom, thanks in part to the lollipop and banana, and she dazzled Grandma with words like "no" and "oh" and her antics of stealing her blanket so Mommy can't put her down fo
r a nap.
Of course Caitlyn's absolute favorite part of Grandma's house is the cats. She gets so excited to see them. She makes her little meowing sounds at them and when they let her touch them she just laughs and giggles. She almost couldn't eat during lunch because she just wanted to look out the window at the cats sprawled all over the car(Brandon wasn't exactly thrilled with the paw prints on the windshield). She thought it was great that the snow is high enough outside
the kitchen window that the cats jump up and sit on the ledge and look in. She stood on the bench and had quite the conversation with Dusty as the cat was rubbing against the window trying to get some love.
Needless to say, both William and Caitlyn were sad to leave. They just love to be at Grandma's.
