Cookies
Today I promised William that we would make cookies. This came about because Daddy did the shopping list this week while Mommy was in the shower, he is a little sneak just like the kids, and wrote down chocolate chips, and because it was cold and snowing again today we needed something to do inside. The idea was to get it done before Caitlyn woke up from her nap, but she of course didn't cooperate and woke up early. So we all made them together. William was excited to get out all of the ingredients and he was the big helper who put them on the table. This created problems when Caitlyn realized he was doing something without her. So we made an assembly line; I handed things to her and she handed them to William. But once we got mixing the question came up, "When can I taste it?" They both were excited to get to lick the beaters and of course became quite messy, so I thought you all might enjoy the pictures. You might notice in one picture Caitlyn's big blue eyes, that is how she gets what she wants, especially from Daddy.

Pirate William
Whoever created "Veggie Tales" is a genius. William just loves them, especially the song "The Pirates Who Don't do Anything." He has the whole song nearly memorized. His favorite part is when Pa Grape and Mr. Lunt start arguing. Click here to see the original song on YouTube. Enjoy William's version (he's supposed to look like Larry).

Chalk
William was so excited on Tuesday because it was the first day in about a week that we didn't wake up to fresh snow on the ground. It doesn't matter that the snow is gone by the end of the day, it is just the fact that it has been snowing that is depressing. In fact, one day William looked out the window and sadly informed me that it was turning into winter again. So to celebrate no snow that day, and the fact that we bought sidewalk chalk, he wanted to decorate our driveway and
our house. I talked him out of decorating the house. So here are our creations.
No, William is not grimacing or snarling at me. That is him saying "cheese" and then holding still because the picture before that he moved, the one bad thing about digital cameras.
Easter
I know, I know, I'm a little slow on the uptake with this one. Easter is so over it isn't even funny. I must admit that mainly this is just laziness, I was too lazy to put the pictures on the computer, but it is partly trying to suppress horrible memories. The Easter Bunny did come to our house, sorry no pictures but there is video that I am way to lazy to put on the computer, which was probably William's favorite part of the whole weekend. So he showed up Saturday and the kids were ecstatic about the candy and toys in their baskets. We had a little egg hunt in the back yard, thank goodness the snow had melted and it didn't snow that morning, and then we had plans to go to the rodeo. Here is where the bad memories comes in. We made it to the rodeo, pulled up, and discovered all of the coolant leaking out of the car. Our car doesn't like Pocatello, we are never moving there. We didn't stay long at the rodeo, but we were in Pocatello until ten that night. Sunday was just great fun since we didn't get home until almost eleven. It would have been better if we could get both kids out of the car asleep. William is a cinch but Caitlyn wakes up as soon as you turn off the car, unless you want her to be awake. Caitlyn's favorite part of the weekend was the candy but the clothes came in at a close second. Basically she loves to be dressed, does not like to be naked, so she is more than willing to put new clothes on. William just likes to have pictures taken, which makes him a bit more cooperative. My favorite part of the weekend was hearing William try to explain the Resurrection to Caitlyn and asking to watch The Testaments because that is what he learned about in Primary.

Okay, so here are the kids in there Easter best. They do look cute and adorable, even when they don't cooperate. And Caitlyn is just so lucky she gets two Easter dresses while William just likes to strike a pose.
And I just couldn't resist putting in a picture of Caitlyn's hair. It just seems to being getting curlier. But just in the back, not the top hair and not by her ears. Of course, it only looks this good if we actually get the conditioner and stuff into it and it helps that it is Sunday and she only slept on it for an hour and a half instead of all night long.

Celery and Peanut Butter
Brandon decided to introduce celery and peanut butter to our families diet, mainly because his work is doing a fruits and vegetables campaign for their health insurance campaign. William was a little leery at first, he isn't really keen on trying new things. Caitlyn thinks that anything that is on her parents' plates must be better than what is on her plate. It doesn't matter what it is. She prefers my salad to her chicken nuggets at night and is constantly asking for what we are having. So she was really excited that we were having celery and peanut butter. She didn't do to well with the celery. Hard to chew vegetables are still giving her just a bit of a problem, she prefers lettuce. But when she discovered that there was peanut butter inside that celery she went to town. It was tongue out, flat up against her face. We couldn't help laughing. We did get some pictures, amazing because we usually get in that situation and totally forget, and we wanted all of you to enjoy.
