Did winter miss the memo?

I have noticed the warmer temperatures but I was shocked when I walked outside and saw plants in our snowdrift. Last year I wouldn't have been surprised because most of the snow was gone by this time. I guess spring really is on the way. I think, but I could be wrong, that these are daffodils. Please don't quote me on this. It could be tulips. Last year we had one big clump of tulips by the driveway, some perennials left over from a previous owner. But last fall my mom brought a huge box of daffodil bulbs and we planted those and tulips up the whole side, with iris on the ends. I am hoping that they all grow. I'm pretty sure the daffodils will grow, they did come from that famous Luke house, and the tulips have hope since Mom helped with that planting. But I have my fingers crossed since I planted the iris by myself. Now I just hope that nothing happens to the plants that are already above ground. It always seems like it will never happen but spring is coming once again.

William is just excited that the snow is melting. He tells us about it everyday. He also asks if the grass is growing. Mainly that is because he wants it to be his birthday and he knows that there is no snow on his birthday.
