Cookies

I have been so lazy lately. So here is a little catch up. On Martin Luther King Jr. day William didn't have school, not because of the holiday but a teacher work day, and a friend invited him over to play. Caitlyn was a little sad to hear that she wasn't invited too so I told her we could make cookies while he was gone. She got really excited when I brought home candy hearts from the store to decorate the cookies. Here she is after the cookies. Notice the flour all down the right sleeve. She was excited that I let her pick out the cookie cutters, she picked all heart shapes.
For some reason she said that I needed to take a picture of her back. I don't know why.
William was home in time to help decorate the cookies. So they helped with the icing and then they loaded them with candy hearts. I think they were more excited about the fact that I said that they could have one before dinner.
Britton slept through the cookie making, I told Caitlyn we would make cookies but I'm not crazy enough to try to do that by myself with the one year old awake. But when she found Caitlyn's apron on the floor she insisted that she have hers on, and she can be quite insistent.

So Caitlyn had a good day, although William's friend's mom said she should have just had Caitlyn come over too, and that was the point. The kids were also very excited to take a plate to Daddy at work. But I think that is just because every night they ask me if we can go to Brandon's work.
