First Piggy

I know I talk about Caitlyn's hair a lot, now it is Britton's turn. Yesterday she experienced her first little pig tail. You can tell she looks very excited about it. Or that could be her "yeah Dad, you're funny take the picture already" expression. One of these days we will get a smile on the camera. Now we will just have to wait to see if her hair curls like Caitlyn's.

Pretty Dress

There are times when I wonder how I ended up with a girl like Caitlyn. First she has beautiful hair, which is just a cruel joke since I struggle to do my own hair. Then she insists she needs a dress everyday. Now I'm sure you all know that dresses really aren't my thing. I would rather wear pants anyday. But Caitlyn has decided that she needs a "pretty dress" everyday. She will break down if you try to talk her into wearing pants and she had broken a couple of hangars getting her dresses down by herself. For awhile it was skirts but lately we have to do some fancy talking to get her to consider a skirt. She has figured out that if she asks for pants underneath the dress she can wear a dress all winter long and stay warm. I blame this fad on princesses and spinning. She used to get a dress on and tell me she was a pretty princess, now she will see a picture of a princess and say "she has a pretty dress like me." And of course she loves to spin in her pretty dresses to show them off. So here she is in one of her pretty dresses. Every night she will tell me her dress is not dirty and inform me that she wants to wear it tomorrow. Unfortunately she has a great memory and doesn't forget about the dress the next day. She keeps our life interesting. We love our little princess.

The Joy of the Internet

We don't have a lot going on lately; church, children growing, Brandon actually took a sick day, children screaming, snow melting, so I thought I would blog about the joys of the Internet. It is a wonderful thing. Because of the Internet I can catch up with friends and family. Through blogs I am able to view pictures and discover that I am not the only being driven crazy by my children or trying really hard not to laugh at my children. And because of blogs I am able to catch up on the goings on of family members I hardly ever see or talk to. I know that sounds pathetic, and it really is because I live fairly close to a few of the people whose blogs I frequent. But it is funny. When I started blogging it was so easy to check other blogs because there were only about four that I knew of. Then I started checking out what blogs those people had listed in their links. And I found more friends. Then a Emi, my cousin, left a message on our blog and I found multiple links for family. It takes so much longer to check blogs now. But the best example of the crazy connections was when Candee, another cousin, left me a funny message. She had had dinner with some friends in their ward only to find out they were Brandon's cousins. So now we have a link to Shannon's blog, Brandon's cousin, and sometimes we can see pictures of my cousins children on Brandon's cousin's blog. It is a small world, the Internet reminds me of that. So I am grateful for the Internet and the connections it helps me maintain.

Sharing the Silliness

Caitlyn cracks us up and I thought I would share it with you lucky people. Brandon got a little massager for Christmas and of course the kids think it is great. There were a lot of 5 second massages Christmas day. Well Sunday Caitlyn comes out of our bedroom with the massager and says to Brandon, "I need to ssage you." So she pushes the button to start it, of course she knows how, and proceeds to massage Brandon's back.
But now you can see her master plan. Since she gave a massage, now it is her turn to get one. She knows how to work the angles. Of course, they all get silly and talk about how it tickles and we have to tell Caitlyn not to massage her mouth but it is some quality family time.

Unfortunately it never seems to be my turn for a massage. Brandon says I'm not missing much because they are so short, but doesn't Mommy deserve a massage too? I don't know if that is fair. Such is life.

Pretty Princesses

Aren't these two adorable? We just happened to be given similar dresses for Caitlyn and Britton. (Thank you Paul and Kelly for Caitlyn's, she loves it. Thank you Charlee, Melinda, and Jessica for Britton's, she looks adorable.) So I couldn't resist having them look like they were dressed alike for church. I think the bow makes Britton look like a Christmas present. I would love to say I made them, but that would be lying. So thank you Charlee for the bows. Caitlyn was really excited about holding Britton, but Britton doesn't look really thrilled.

Britton 1 month

Happy New Year! Not only is it a new year but Britton has been with us for a month now. She is a very good baby and pretty tolerant of her older siblings. She is definitely in for some rough love. She is getting bigger and starting to stay awake for longer periods. She is only up a couple of times a night which is nice. Out of curiosity I looked at the other baby books while I was writing in Britton's and I have a funny tid bit for you all. Caitlyn and Britton were the same height and weight at birth. They even had the same head size. But at one month Britton wieghs more, 11 pounds compared to Caitlyn at 10 pounds, and Caitlyn was taller, 23 inches compared to Britton at 22 inches. It is just funny to me. But we are so glad that we have her.

Christmas Pictures

I know, it is way past Christmas but this is the first time we have been to the library since so here you go. And, basically the pictures are Christmas Eve not Christmas, but hey at least there are pictures. Okay, this isn't Christmas eve but this is William helping clean before Grandma and Grandpa Isle got here. He asked if he could help Daddy clean the table, Brandon said yes then had to help Caitlyn with something. I look over while feeding Britton and William had decided it was easier to clean the table while on top. Funny boy.

Brandon's family got here in time to hlep decorate the cookies for Santa. It is all in the master planning. Mommy made the dough therefore didn't cook them or decorate them. I did make the frosting.

My little monsters were so excited about their pajamas from Grandma Luke (no the tutu is not part of the pajamas but it does get worn to be a lot). William was just very excited about opening a present on Christmas eve.

Here they are with the baby. Yes this is a different day. It is funny how excited they both were when I said that I needed them to hold the baby. We had a wonderful white Christmas. The best part for me was the one of the girls at the station was nice enough to let Brandon have the day off and he got to spend the whole day with us. And we learned how many people watch channel 8 when they commented about William's appearance with Karole.
